spicy sweet popcorn

March 6th, 2008 by snapginger

I am not sure how I feel about this yet - but this is at least the third mention I have seen serving popcorn as a side dish.

This recipe comes to us via MS who offered up the concoction along side a roast pork tenderloin. Somehow popcorn, to me, is best freshly popped on the stove with a dash of sea salt and served in a over sized bowl. For a quick dinner I never seem to need any more than that.

OK, popcorn AND a good sappy movie to watch while curled up in my fleece blanket.

my tastebook

January 10th, 2008 by snapginger

I am dying to find out if anyone else tried this yet, or I am one of the first to discover this really great idea.

Tastebook seems to be the solution that I was looking for to help organize all those recipes that I have stored on the laptop. All those txt files simply saved in my recipes folder can now have a chic home.

wildwood,nj - flashback

September 10th, 2007 by snapginger

While reading one of my favorite blogs today - yes, I LIKE Martha Stewart - I stumbled across this entry about the sleepy little seaside town in NJ where I had my first kiss. I have to say, the place looks like it hasn’t changed at all.

Fall seems to be around the corner

September 5th, 2007 by snapginger

SO when I woke up this morning I realized that there was a very good reason that I was clinging to the sheet that I had wrapped around me - - It was only 58 degrees in our house. Crazy. It was 92 on Saturday. I guess fall really is just around the corner. I am not sure if I should get excited about things like tights and corduroy, especially when the forecast says it is going to be back in the 90s over the weekend.

can't wait for fall

Walkers Wood Jerk Seasoning

April 27th, 2006 by admin

Dave found this great seasoning while in Jamaica.

He was kind enough to cook dinner for C and I last night as we squared away our mortgage paperwork.
Mmmmm.

Roasted Jerk seasoned pork with baby bok choy, pineapple anstarfruit relish, fried plantains….Made us feel like it was summer in about 2 minutes.

new beginningstake 2

January 16th, 2006 by stacey

So the irony is that I started this blog 4 years ago. I have made a total of 3 posts in 4 years. Not such a good average. But as the saying goes –what a difference a year makes. I am determined to make this time work.

4 years ago I also subtitled the site “musings of a recovering bitter romantic”. Now I am married (to a wonderful guy) and am in the process of making my way through married life. Ahh the irony.

OK so here it goes … a blog about me; our life; my interests; the ups and downs about trying to create something special, memorable, meaningful, & enjoyable all at the same time. Think I’ve got my work cut out for me? I do.

We’ll see how it goes.

The good thing is the wedding website is still up and running. I hope to have the honeymoon pictures posted shortly. We had such a fantastic time in Kauai. I can’t wait to go back.
